Information we collect

On this website, we may collect information you provide directly (for example, contact details you submit when you reach out) and non-personal usage data such as page views, device type, and browser information.

In the Octane Attendant App, we collect: account information (company code, username, and password, issued to you by your employer — there is no public self-registration); shift and business data you enter (nozzle and CNG meter readings, cash counts, product sales, debtor entries, cheque and digital/reward payment details, inventory transfers, and related notes), which belongs to your employer's business records; and local offline drafts, cached temporarily on your device so you don't lose progress if you lose network connectivity, cleared once the shift is submitted or discarded.

What the app doesn't collect

The Octane Attendant App does not access your device location, camera, contacts, or photos, and does not use advertising identifiers or include any third-party advertising SDKs.

Crash reports & app analytics

The App uses Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics (Google) to help us find and fix bugs and understand how the App is used. This includes crash and error reports (device model, OS version, app version, and technical details of what went wrong) and app usage data such as screens viewed and general usage events. This is tied to an internal user ID, not your name or contact details, and is not used for advertising or sold to any third party. It is only collected in the version installed from the Play Store, not during development or testing.

How we use information

Website data is used to operate and improve this website, respond to enquiries, and maintain analytics to understand usage. App data you enter is used solely to record and calculate shift totals, generate reports for your employer, and let you resume an in-progress shift entry. Crash and usage data from the App is used solely to maintain and improve it. We do not sell personal or business data to third parties.

Cookies & analytics

This website may use cookies or third-party services to collect anonymous analytics, helping us measure and improve site performance. You can control cookies via your browser settings. The Octane Attendant App does not use cookies or web analytics — see "Crash reports & app analytics" above for the app's own data collection.

Data storage, transmission & sharing

App data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections to your employer's own backend systems and stored on servers operated for your employer's company account — it is not shared across companies. We do not share your information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Data is only accessible to your employer's authorized administrators and, where required, to service providers who help operate Octane's backend infrastructure under confidentiality obligations, including Google Firebase, which processes crash and analytics data as described above on our behalf.

Data retention & your rights

Shift and account data is retained for as long as your employer's company account remains active, in line with their business record-keeping needs. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, please contact your company administrator, or reach us directly using the details below.

Children's privacy

Octane, including the Attendant App, is a workplace tool intended for use by employed adult staff and is not directed at children. App accounts are issued only by employers to their staff.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the website, the app, or applicable law. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date below.
